Designed for defence

Energy that leaves no trace.

The SOLAR SHIELD 110 Wp delivers off-grid power under operational conditions. 3.3 kilograms, 3.5 millimetres thick, mountable on tents, vehicles or camouflage netting – no radar signature, no reflection, no engine noise.

The starting point

The generator is the loudest piece of equipment in the position.

Self-sufficient power in the field has so far meant diesel. That ties every position to a supply chain, a maintenance burden and an acoustic and thermal signal that cannot be switched off.

  • 01Fuel has to be transported, guarded and resupplied.
  • 02The engine can be heard before the position can be seen.
  • 03Exhaust heat and the tailpipe produce a clear thermal image.
  • 04If the generator fails, communications fail with it.
The approach

What if the power source itself were camouflaged?

Ultra-light, flexible and extremely rugged: the SOLAR SHIELD 110 Wp delivers reliable, off-grid power under all conditions. At just 3.3 kg and 3.5 mm thick, it mounts effortlessly on tents, vehicles or camouflage nets.

Combined with a portable power station, it runs radio equipment, laptops, drones or medical devices – low-noise, emission-free and fully independent of the grid. Several modules can be combined flexibly to deliver the required output for any mission duration.

What sets the module apart

Built for conditions, not for data sheets.

Every property follows from a field requirement: carried by one person, mounted without tools, inconspicuous to reconnaissance and still functional after damage.

01

Light & flexible

Just 3.3 kg at 830 × 964 mm. One soldier carries and mounts the module alone.

02

Fast installation

Flexible mounting on tents, camouflage nets, vehicle roofs or bodies – no substructure required.

03

High efficiency

Monocrystalline PERC silicon technology with 36 M10 half-cut cells. No thin film.

04

Rugged module construction

Multi-layer build with glass-fibre-reinforced plastic. Maximum micro-crack protection, extended service life.

05

No signature

Neither radar nor any notable thermal signature, no reflection thanks to the matte surface.

06

UV-resistant

Matte surface, permanently UV- and saltwater-resistant – including maritime deployment.

07

Extremely weather-resistant

Stable output in heat, storms and dust. Built for continuous field use.

08

Adaptable camouflage

The camouflage pattern on the rear can optionally be adapted to the respective area of operations.

Protection against enemy reconnaissance

What cannot be seen cannot be engaged.

The SOLAR SHIELD has been tested against the four reconnaissance channels through which a position is typically detected.

01

No radar signature

The module construction contains no reflective metal surfaces that would appear as a target in radar reconnaissance.

02

Very low thermal signature

In a thermal-image comparison under identical conditions, the module stays significantly cooler than a conventional solar panel.

Herkömmliches Panel47,2 °C
SOLAR SHIELD40,5 °C
03

No reflection

The matte surface produces no glare – neither towards aerial reconnaissance nor towards ground observation.

04

Mission integrity under fire

The electroluminescence image shows: even with bullet penetrations, the module keeps delivering power instead of failing completely.

The camouflage pattern on the rear side can optionally be adapted to the specific area of operation.

In the field

One module. Eight positions.

From the remote command post to the medical vehicle: wherever power is needed without drawing attention.

02

Command support and relay stations

Powering and securing communications and command facilities, even during long static periods without resupply.

Mobile squads and unit elements

Four SOLAR SHIELD modules on the AP710 “Pinzgauer” reconnaissance vehicle secure the long-term self-sufficient power supply for the on-board systems and combat equipment.

Mobile power plant

PV modules integrated into the pickup enable situational-awareness platforms, encrypted communications and command infrastructure – without depending on the vehicle engine or fuel logistics.

Response vehicles and medical service

Ventilators, medication cooling and communications and surveillance equipment keep running, mobile and stationary.

The module

The front works. The back disappears.

Olive on the sun-facing side, pixel camouflage on the rear. The module is designed for deployment in both directions – not just for yield.

Fields of application

Developed for the military. Equally suited to civil use.

The requirements of emergency services and civil protection are the same as in military deployment: immediately available, independent and quiet.

01

Fire service vehicles

Mobile power supply on scene, independent of idle time and engine runtime.

02

Ambulances & medical emergencies

Reliable power for sensitive equipment, even for hours without the grid.

03

Relay stations & communications

Continuous power for radio systems and infrastructure at remote sites.

04

Blackout scenarios

Independent power supply when the grid is down across a wide area.

05

Drones & air forces

Power for mobile surveillance and reconnaissance right at the launch site.

06

Watchtowers, tents & shelters

Self-sufficient power for temporary installations without cable runs or generators.

What is usually asked before procurement.

That depends on the loads and the mission duration. As a reference: the camouflaged radio transmission post shown operates with eight modules and thus 880 Wp. A tactical charging unit for drones, laptop and radio manages with four modules and 305 W of real-time output in the configuration shown.

Flexibly – on tent fabric, camouflage nets, vehicle roofs and bodies. At 3.3 kg and a 3.5 mm profile, no load-bearing substructure is required. We define the appropriate mounting option together with your deployment scenario.

The construction contains no reflective metal surfaces that would appear as a radar target. In a thermal-image comparison under identical conditions, the SOLAR SHIELD measures 40.5 °C versus 47.2 °C for a conventional panel. The matte surface additionally produces no glare.

The multi-layer construction with glass-fibre-reinforced plastic prevents total failure. The electroluminescence image shows that the module keeps delivering power even with bullet penetrations – with correspondingly reduced yield in the damaged area.

Yes. The pattern on the rear can optionally be adapted to the respective area of operations. This applies from a certain project size and is clarified as part of the enquiry.

The module works with portable power stations and connects via MC4-Evo2 or Weipu Heavy Duty SY21 bayonet. The appropriate storage capacity follows from the loads and the planned night reserve – we calculate that for your case.

The construction is designed for micro-crack protection, the surface is UV- and saltwater-resistant, and the junction box is TÜV-certified to IP67. The module is engineered for stable output in heat, storms and dust.

Yes. Tell us the planned quantity and timeframe in your enquiry – from that we determine which delivery tranches and which camouflage-pattern adaptations are feasible.
