Industry & lightweight construction

We turn buildings into power plants.

More energy from every square metre. We activate the roofs, facades and open areas of industrial and commercial sites and connect them into one intelligent energy system.

The problem

Energy has become the biggest unpredictable cost item.

Grid fees are rising, prices fluctuate, peak loads hit the bill twice. Anyone who doesn't generate their own power renegotiates every year – without a negotiating position.

0 %

of industrial roofs in Austria are unused for energy

every 0 months

your fixed price period ends – then you negotiate from scratch again

up to 0 %

savings potential left untapped in the first year

  • 01Peak loads drive up grid fees even though actual consumption stays the same.
  • 02Existing roofs often can't structurally support conventional PV.
  • 03Facades are treated as cost surfaces instead of yield surfaces.
  • 04Generation, storage and charging points run side by side without coordination.
The solution

What if the envelope itself became the power plant?

das.core activates every surface your site already has – and connects generation, storage and consumption into a system that optimizes itself.

Das System
Office building with activated envelope: roof PV, facade modules, storage and carport
01

Envelope

Every surface becomes a yield surface.

Roof, facade, shading and open space are activated for energy – even where conventional photovoltaics fail structurally or aesthetically.

  • Lightweight PV for existing roofs without load reserve
  • Lightweight PV and rear-ventilated facade as an architectural element
  • Carports and awnings on previously unused open spaces
Roof and facade PV combined: yield surfaces across the entire day
02

Generation

Yield across the whole day, not just at noon.

Roof and facade complement each other: the roof delivers the peak, the facade the steady profile in morning, evening and winter hours.

  • Highest yield per square meter on the roof
  • Stable vertical profile via the facade
  • Production and development from Austria
Battery storage on site: raising self-consumption, capping peak loads
03

Storage

Generation and consumption are decoupled.

The storage system raises self-consumption and caps peak loads – exactly the item that hits hardest on the grid bill.

  • Peak shaving for predictable grid fees
  • Modularly scaled to the real load profile
  • Can be designed for backup power

Häufige Fragen

What you should know about photovoltaics on facades.

No – orientation, substrate, shading, fire protection and structural load capacity are always assessed on a project basis. In our free facade analysis we clarify these points upfront and show which surfaces can be activated economically.

Yes. Our modules are manufactured in Austria and can be adapted in colour, surface and format to the architectural concept – including special formats for existing grids.

Per square metre the annual yield is lower, but the yield profile is considerably more even. Facades deliver power especially in the morning and winter months – exactly when consumption in the building is high.

Cabling runs concealed within the substructure and is defined together with the electrical planning. In existing buildings we use existing shafts and routes where available.

Via das.care: remote monitoring, regular inspection, cleaning and servicing. The system is continuously monitored via das.os, and deviations are reported automatically.

Yes – in fact, that is the most economical route. Scaffolding, substructure and insulation are needed anyway; the additional cost of the energy-active envelope therefore pays off considerably faster.

Depending on the federal state and system size, investment grants, tax benefits and renovation subsidies may apply. We review the currently available programmes as part of the project analysis.
